After The Revolution
After The Revolution is the first and only non-governmental organization (NGO) founded specifically to address the needs of freedom fighters. The NGO brings the best experts from around the world to newly liberated countries to train local mental health professionals and counselors in the latest methods for treating combat-related mental health disorders (PTSD, depression, etc.) that are affecting veterans of the revolution.
The NGO was founded in 2012 by Libyan revolution combat veteran Matthew VanDyke, who serves as the director. The board of directors is currently being assembled and currently includes Dr. David Bercelli and Ali Alwaj.
This website is under construction and more details will be available soon. After The Revolution will begin programs in Libya in Fall, 2012, with plans to provide services to help Syrian freedom fighters starting in 2013.
